Orofino’s “REAL FOOD” Country Store is the brainchild and blessing of Ronda LeClaire Said, a lifelong vegan, and long-time resident and property owner on Lower Fords Creek, between Orofino and Weippe, in Clearwater County, Idaho.
In anticipation of Ronda’s dream to open a store to serve the Clearwater Valley with more healthy choices, Ronda bought bulk food bins and fixtures from Meacham Mills of Lewiston late in 2008, when the owner – Mary Meacham – retired and closed the popular store.
Specializing in organic, vegan, gluten-free and natural products, Orofino Country Store officially opened the doors in May of 2009, with the ongoing help of family and friends. The store continues to grow, adding new lines of interesting specialty organic and natural products every month.
