Gluten Free Group Meeting: Potluck & Planning

The next meeting of the Clearwater Gluten Free Group will be Announced Shortly.    We meet in the meeting room above the Orofino Country Store at 206 Johnson Avenue, in downtown Orofino.

We usually have a Gluten Free Potluck , and attendees are asked to bring a dish, side, or dessert and a recipe card so people can copy and share notes. Other gluten free resources are also welcome.  The program will be anounced when we post the date for our next meeting.

Attendees are asked to enter at the back of the store — look for signage. There is also parking available at the rear of the store, in the parking lot between the alley and the auto body shop.

Cheryl Stottlemyer of Kooskia is the featured presenter for the November meeting of the Clearwater Gluten Free Group, speaking on the “Joys and Challenges of Baking Gluten Free Breads”.  A gluten-free bread making demonstration is included in the presentation.

The meeting will be Wednesday, November 10, 6:30 PM, in the meeting room above the Orofino Country Store at 206 Johnson Avenue, in downtown Orofino.

Cheryl is an RN, with a Masters degree in Public Health, and helped develop an organic gardening ministry and business – Summer Hill Farm – along with her husband David. Due to a number of family food sensitivities, she became interested in gluten-free cooking and baking, and has an allergen-friendly, vegan cookbook is in the works.

Members and guests are encouraged to bring a gluten-free bread of their own for others to taste after the presentation (with recipe card, thank you!). Other gluten free resources and food samples are also welcome.
