Orofino Country Store

A passion to see people enjoy optimum health is the motivation behind the Orofino Country Store, recently opened at 206 Johnson Avenue.  Owned by Dr. James and Ronda Said, the store will combine his practice in Naturopathic Medicine and Chiropractic with the sale of bulk and organic foods and supplements.  They also carry a large variety of 100% organic certified produce.

The store is currently about 40% stocked and will grow at about 20% monthly.  Ronda welcomes input from customers as she intends to carry what people want.

All products are carefully researched and the store carries only organic foods containing no refined sugars, preservatives or dyes.

The store also features a reading area where customers can relax while they enjoy a book or trade recipes.

Books on health and family improvement, along with cookbooks are sold.  They will teach classes on diet and health issues.

Demonstrations held in conjunction with classes will emphasize the coast savings and nutritional benefits of using bulk foods in cooking.  Particularly in these trying economic times, Ronda says, it is vital that people understand the cost saving benefits of cooking with bulk and organic foods.

Their first class is scheduled for April 28 at 7 p.m. at the store.  Dr. Said will teach on why we have health problems and what we can do about them.  In conjunction with the class Ronda will give a demonstration on simple inexpensive meals featuring bulk foods.

All classes are free.

The couple met in Zurich, Switzerland eight and a half years ago , when Ronda attended a seminar taught by Dr. Said.  They have been married sever years, and until recently have made their home in Oregon, where Dr. Said has practiced for 30 years as a Chiropractic Physician and Dr. of Naturopathic Medicine.

They are now in the process of relocation to property Ronda has owned here for some time.  Dr. Said is now booking appointments at 476-4600.
